We understand that it can be quite an ordeal to begin working with a new advisor. Many new clients have told us that the put off meeting with us afraid that they would have a lot of “homework” in advance of the meeting, or were embarrassed about their past financial decisions.

We make sure to do everything we can to help you organize your financial life early in the process of working with us. Although many of your current accounts and documents may seem Greek to you, we can quickly help you organize and make sense of your situation.
And don’t worry about where you are today. It’s our job to build a bridge from your current state, to the goals you’d like to achieve.
We established Fort Henry Capital as a “fee only firm.” That is, our only income comes directly from the advice we provide, and not from commissions on selling products.
Depending on the investments that we are managing, our fees range from .25% to 1.0%. You will always know what fees are involved before moving forward with us, and you are not locked into any long term contract or product.
Absolutely not. We understand that we’re not the right fit for every situation, and commit to taking the time to understand your situation first, before recommending solutions.
We work closely with Charles Schwab for brokerage and custody services. It is critically important to hold your assets at a third party that is responsible for reporting and safe keeping of your investments.
Many of our clients also hire us to manage their workplace retirement accounts. In many cases, your plan offers the ability to invest with an advisor through the plan. We can help you learn more about your plan, and what options are available to you.
All clients have access to their accounts in several ways. You’ll receive a monthly statement, and will have online access at two levels. First, through Charles Schwab, you’ll have access to the current holdings and values of each of your accounts. Second, we provide robust reporting concerning asset allocation and performance through a secure portal.
Although many of our clients live within an hour of our office, we currently work with clients in over 20 states seamlessly. Thanks to technology, we’re able to meet with you virtually through phone calls, video calls, and other screen sharing methods. Depending on circumstances, we also periodically travel and could meet you off site as well.
